The Public Organization ‘Tajikistan Network of Women Living with HIV’ expresses gratitude to the partners who supported this event within the framework of the project ‘Strengthening the network of women living with HIV to include HIV issues in national responses to NCDs.’ This project is funded by the UNAIDS office, USAID, and UN WOMEN in Tajikistan. The meeting was also attended by Christopher Barrett, Director of Health Programs-USAID, and Aziza Hamidova, the UNAIDS Country Director in Tajikistan, who welcomed the participants.
The meeting featured interesting and informative presentations on various aspects of monitoring and evaluation, including national approaches to improving HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis programs, the experience of social organizations, and the assessment of monitoring models for HIV and tuberculosis services. All the results and suggestions from the speakers and participants were discussed at the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, a draft of recommendations and measures to strengthen cooperation between government institutions and public organizations within the framework of the National Coordination Committee for community-based monitoring in Tajikistan was presented. It was a productive event, and we hope for further success in our cooperation in the fight against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria.
